Using polyvagal theory and somatic practices to recognize the signs of a heightened physical and emotional states, connecting those feelings to programmed behaviors, and using this information to inform future responses
Recognizing and reacting to heightened states and their causes in children based on their behavior

2. Take a breath or move your body
3. Check back to see if you're back to neutral
