Why is my Child Anxious and How Can I Help?
Season 2 - Episode 37
Before the pandemic a study concluded that 20% of Americans suffered from anxiety. Post-pandemic, the number is probably much higher.
A few weeks ago we talked about living in the present. Anxious people are stuck thinking about the future and being fearful of the unknown. They typically love routine and structure because that gives them some control over the future. For the same reason, anxious kids tend to be ritualistic.
Lauren walks through 5 things to know about anxiety, including the genetic link, physical symptoms that come along with anxiety, and a long list of ways to help your anxious kiddo.
If your kid exhibits any anxiety this is a must listen episode.
Lauren answers this week’s listener question during the episode: How do I reason with my two year old?
